FBO Service Technician
The FBO Service Technician provides expert care and support to all customers from marshaling and parking incoming aircraft, fueling, and invoicing, fuel delivery, and towing aircraft for storage. You will create a welcoming environment by greeting guests upon arrival, answering questions, assisting with the check-in process, reserving rental cars or hotels as needed, and maintaining a clean and organized lobby. This position may also work cross-functionally to support internal Pilots and Instructors by communicating notifications when planes are in need of maintenance and coordinating scheduling and logistical changes.
- Track and monitor arriving and departing aircraft, including scheduled charter, training, and transit flights/aircraft.
- Safely marshal, park, and move customer and company aircraft as required.
- Assist crew and passengers with baggage handling.
- Answer the phone and direct calls.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming FBO which may include ground maintenance and snow removal.
- Safely operate company vehicles by adhering to policies and procedures.
- Process invoices for fuel, rentals, lessons, handling fees, and other potential fees.
- Monitor charter sheet and communicate changes and flight activity.
- Maintain records, contracts, and documentation of pilots, students, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Line Service Technician or FBO Customer Service experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Physical Requirements:
- This position is physically demanding, requiring work outside on an airport ramp, inside aircraft hangars, and at the customer service desk.
- Ability to pump jet fuel which may require climbing, stooping, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting and grasping.
- Ability to push/pull and/or lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to outdoor environmental conditions including extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, wind, hazards, atmospheric conditions, oils, and fuels.
- Must be able to frequently use hands to perform basic job duties such as typing and phone dialing.
- Ability to climb a six-foot ladder.
