Description

Summary:

Warehouse Inventory Clerk. The position’s primary role is to monitor, account and report on inventory levels within the daily warehouse function. This will require individual accountability as well as responsibility for warehouse functions performed by the team. A successful inventory clerk is a trustworthy professional with outstanding record-keeping and analytical abilities. The Inventory Clerk will demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze large amounts of data. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out safely and on time.


Critical Job Functions:

  • Adhere to the system of internal controls designed to mitigate risk and protect against inventory loss, spoilage and theft.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and full inventory audits; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Communicate daily with staff.
  • Complete assign tasks of the daily counting procedure.
  • Ensure inventory is stored properly, rotated in order to meet quality standards.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of inventory variances.
  • Ensure all inventory management processes adhere to.


Requirements

Job Qualifications -


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of inventory experience, preferably in beverage or wholesale distribution.

Aptitude for Technology:

  • Software: knowledge of standard route accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hardware: knowledge about computers, handheld devices.


Physical demands and abilities:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or ability to move objects that weigh more than 165 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Ability to obtain material handling certifications.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
  • Other duties as assigned, within reason.


Salary Description
$18.00 to $20.00
