Job Description:
This job is responsible for managing the end-to-end product life cycle, including conducting market research and competitor analyses, determining product pricing, developing short and long-term strategies, identifying innovative opportunities to modernize product offerings and deliver a more unified customer experience, and adhering to the Product Risk Management policy. Job expectations may include ensuring that product management efforts are integrated with sales, marketing, operations, implementation, and customer service strategies.

Consumer Card Client Selection and Offer Strategies promotes our best in class credit card product suite and delivers leading offers to more than 58MM consumers clients within our franchise footprint through digital, financial center, call center and direct mail marketing.  The Card Product Brand Direct Mail Strategy Integration role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to test offer, creative and selection across Brand Direct Mail campaigns while being responsible for flawless execution of strategies within Pre-Approved and Invitation to Apply mail programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to test differentiated  offers, creatives, pricing and selection across Brand Direct Mail campaigns

  • Responsible for flawless execution of strategies within Pre-Approved and Invitation to Apply mail programs

  • Responsible for achieving unit sales and loan growth objectives, while maximizing financial returns and mitigating risk

  • Liaison to Pricing Strategies and Pricing execution teams for implementing pricing changes and testing within the Direct Mail channel

  • Develop and maintain product rotation flight plan as well as product strategies for all Direct Mail campaigns

  • Drive marketing, creatives, required disclosures, and messaging opportunities within the channel

  • Drive improvement of digital and phone experiences for Direct Mail responders

  • Explore and drive development of expansion into new leads and targeting segments

  • Operational risk mitigation and governance including CAST, UCRA, MDUG, RSB etc. development and socialization

  • Monitor complaints and mitigation activities to improve upon customer experience

  • Identifies and creates comprehensive plans for product development and deployment, including supporting the creation of sales training programs and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities

  • Oversees a set of products and maintains financials, including managing the investment profile and profit and loss (P&L) activities, such as revenue and profit margins

  • Provides information on product trends to sales and marketing teams leveraging knowledge of product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape

  • Identifies opportunities to streamline or enhance product offerings to fit client's existing and future needs and support continued growth and operational excellence

  • Manages risk through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners

  • Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have experience & knowledge of Consumer Credit Card and/or Direct Mail Marketing, with a track record of optimizing the client journey to maximize program performance

  • Ability to lead across functional teams to identify enhancement opportunities, drive sales effectiveness, and improve the customer experience

  • Ability to collaborate by building strong working relationships across many key business areas

  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills needed to navigate strategy execution through governance approval processes

  • Exhibits strong drive to deliver results; conveys a sense of urgency to achieve desired outcomes and exceed expectations; persists despite obstacles, setbacks and competing influences

  • Management of operational risks through implementing and monitoring effective controls in partnership with key support partners

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple efforts with varying deadlines

  • Communicates effectively; Proven ability to communicate across leadership levels 

  • Ability to manage varied set of priorities, both planned and ad-hoc, and adapt within a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a high level of multi-tasking

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, takes initiative, independent worker, surfaces and escalates opportunities, issues, or concerns effectively

  • Proficient and demonstrated knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Pay range

$102,000.00 - $145,100.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
