Job Summary
In this essential role, the Bindery Machine Operator will successfully coordinate and prioritize the production process with substantial focus on producing a finished printed product of high quality, rapidly and efficiently. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic go-getter who excels in a fast-paced environment, and is seeking an opportunity to learn, develop, and advance within the company. Any applicant considering this position should have mechanical and technical aptitude and will be a team player. On-the-job training for our operation will be provided. This is a great opportunity for a five+ day workweek. First or second shift position, seasonal overtime may be required.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards.
· Verify and maintain shipping records, including invoices, packing slips, and tracking numbers.
· Schedule pickups and deliveries with FedEx, UPS, and other courier services.
· Knowledge using Outlook email in a professional setting.
· Ensure proper labeling and documentation for domestic and international shipments.
· Maintain inventory of shipping supplies (boxes, labels, tape, etc.).
· Operate shipping software and systems to generate labels and track shipments.
· Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy, damage, and compliance with shipping regulations.
· Communicate with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, project manager) regarding shipping status and issues.
· Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies or delays with carriers.
· Completes quality assurance checks consistently throughout production to ensures superior quality of product
· Keeps a clean and organized work area at all times
· Cross-trains in other areas and continues learning new and improved processes to increase knowledge and understanding of print industry
· Operates in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
Requirements
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management.
Familiarity with inventory management software/systems.
Use of online shipping programs – DHL, FedEx, UPS
Forklift Operation a Plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
