What you will do:
The Home Health Certified Coder is responsible for accurately reviewing and assigning ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to home health clinical documentation in compliance with official coding guidelines, CMS regulations, and agency policies. This role ensures that coding supports medical necessity, optimizes reimbursement, and reflects the quality of care provided.
Preferred Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM coding, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Certified Home Health Coder (HCS-D) or equivalent (e.g., CCS, CPC with home health experience)

Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
CPC, CCSP, CPMA through AAPC and/or CCS-P, CCS, RHIT or RHIA through AHIMA
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of home health coding experience.
