We have operations in Saint Louis, Missouri, Huntington Beach, California, and Milford, Connecticut, serving local, national and international customers, both military and commercial. The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to its customers.


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our team in St. Louis. The ideal candidate will develop, deploy, and maintain artificial intelligence and machine learning models to optimize manufacturing and office processes, improve quality, and increase operational efficiency. The role requires expertise in AI/ML technologies, programming, data analysis, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models tailored for manufacturing applications.
  • Build and support data-driven tools that analyze operational data and provide actionable insights.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python, JSON, and JavaScript or similar languages.
  • Collect, preprocess, and analyze large manufacturing datasets to identify trends and optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with leaders, IT, engineers, quality, and other stakeholders to define AI project goals.
  • Deploy AI models on cloud and on-premises platforms or manufacturing systems with scalable architecture.
  • Monitor model performance and implement updates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay current with AI technology developments and evaluate their potential application in manufacturing.
  • Ensures compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other relevant export control laws.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 10 years of professional experience working with AI and machine learning in industry settings, preferably manufacturing.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, with familiarity in API development.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and large-scale data handling.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for AI deployment.
  • Experience with MLOps tools and practices is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with manufacturing-specific AI applications or industrial IoT.
  • Knowledge of computer vision and anomaly detection techniques for quality control.
  • Understanding of AI model security, privacy, and ethical considerations.
