Job Description:The role involves leading and managing the development of solar photovoltaic projects. It includes overseeing project feasibility, stakeholder negotiations, and team leadership to ensure successful project completion. It includes driving the successful development of renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV and BESS by managing projects through pre-feasibility to final authorization and ensuring collaboration with stakeholders, municipalities, and internal teams.
- Monitor and develop solar PV and Battery Storage projects from pre-feasibility through to authorized and priced projects
- Design economically viable projects compliant with procedures and regulations
- Coordinate environmental and technical studies for grid connections and project sizing
- Lead stakeholder consultations, working meetings, and project presentations
- Overseeing a team, mentoring younger team members, and fostering growth and collaboration
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing and report on project activity using monitoring tools and monthly reports
- Ensure all necessary administrative authorizations are obtained
- Contribute to process improvements for solar power plant development
- Represent the company in industry events and maintain a professional network
- Contribute to business growth by leading negotiations, securing project financing, and ensuring project success for institutional investors
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale solar PV projects while ensuring compliance with regulations and budgets
- Maintain relationships with local stakeholders, municipalities, and landowners to ensure smooth project siting and progress
- Ensure all administrative authorizations are obtained and projects comply with industry standards and local regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Environmental Science, or Renewable Energy
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, ideally in solar photovoltaic projects; certifications in renewable energy systems or project management are a plus
- Experience in team leadership and mentoring
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV projects and administrative procedures
- Proficiency in managing feasibility studies, environmental impact analysis, and grid connection designs
- Ability to manage project budgets, forecasts, and tools for activity reporting
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and stakeholder coordination
- Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) is required
