About the Role:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence within a designated geographic region. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with company objectives to maximize sales volume and profitability. The manager will oversee effective territory management and customer relationship development. A key outcome of this position is to build and maintain strong partnerships with distributors and clients, facilitating sustained business growth. Ultimately, the Regional Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving national sales targets by optimizing sales plans and leveraging mechanical engineering knowledge to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Manage and support distributor and district sales teams to optimize territory coverage and sales performance.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor sales volume and performance metrics, providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and webinars for manufacturer representative meetings, trade organizations, and customer sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Proven experience in regional or territory sales management, preferably within a technical or engineering industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales plans and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of distributor sales channels and territory management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • HVAC coursework and experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Background in industrial or mechanical product sales.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales volume targets.
  • Must be able to travel frequently.
