The Role
This role is responsible for providing proactive strategic and operational support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the broader Global Operations team. Specifically, this role will:
- Provide professional and comprehensive executive assistance and administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
- Support key business management activities for the COO and broader Global Operations team
- Contribute to the overall effective operation of the Global Operations Leadership Team and company by delivering a consistently high standard of work in a timely manner.Lead projects on behalf of the COO as required.
- Contribute to Operations business objectives as determined by the COO through the running of the strategic business planning process, engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure an effective and efficient process.
- Provide guidance to the COO on emerging organisational issues, proposing mitigation or remediation actions, to resolve in a timely manner.
- Deal with a multitude of enquiries from a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority in a discrete and sensitive manner.
- Design and manage the flow of regular management reporting to COO and the Operations team, supporting the COO in managing Operations agendas.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies from more coordinated and streamlined cross-organisational processes.
Your Background and Experience
- Extensive experience in C-suite administrative support in a corporate environment.
- Experience in a challenging and fast paced environment.
- Experience in dealing with sensitive information, both sensitive in nature and time sensitive.
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of organisational awareness, understanding of where to engage to efficiently manage issues.
- Ability to work autonomously and often under pressure, to anticipate the requirements of the COO, and to determine what can be actioned or referred in their absence.
- Able to demonstrate significant previous experience in managing senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes, including the ability to effectively influence and challenge.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex global business, working across and appropriately influencing matrix teams.
- Experience of interpreting management financial and business reports.
- Ability to deal with significant ambiguity and constantly changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and understanding key messages from varied audiences.
- Current advanced skills in MS Office Suite ie Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
