Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in construction chemicals and building materials, as an Admixture Concrete Technical Specialist. In this role, you will provide critical technical support to the Admixture Sales team through testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis. You will lead day-to-day operations in the concrete laboratory, ensure adherence to testing protocols, and report key findings that drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in both laboratory and field environments and enjoys collaborating closely with sales, product, and technical teams.
- Conduct independent laboratory testing, including batching, materials evaluation, and measurement of fresh and hardened concrete properties.
- Support regional sales personnel by coordinating and performing lab and field tests, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and present technical data, summaries, and recommendations to sales teams and product management in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with developing testing programs for new product introductions and troubleshooting existing product performance.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure proper functionality of laboratory testing equipment and facilities.
- Receive customers at the lab, provide tours, and perform product demonstrations to support sales initiatives.
- Participate in local concrete and construction materials associations (e.g., NRMCA, ACI) to promote MAPEI’s technical leadership.
- Monitor and document results of independent testing and field evaluations, updating internal stakeholders as needed.
- Support business development by assisting with efforts to include MAPEI admixtures in project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Sr. Product Specialist for Admixtures or Technical Services Manager.

Qualifications
- Degree in Concrete Technology, Materials Science, or Construction Management (or related field).
- 5+ years experience in concrete or materials testing.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO, ACI, and NRMCA standards.
- Skilled in lab testing, data reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic Windows programs.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Certifications preferred: ACI Aggregate Testing Tech – Level 1, ACI Field Testing Tech – Grade 1, NRMCA Concrete Technologist (or equivalent)
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a good driving record required.
