Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, the Accountant role performs a variety of internal accounting and customer service functions, including invoicing for all site shipments, customer account research and issue resolution, request and enter customer credit memos, process special charges for tooling and other expenses and manufacturing purchase order entry and management. The role involves proactive cross-functional engagement to review order pricing and cost accuracy and resolve any invoicing issues. This role is also responsible for all new make purchase order entry, pricing updates and other related responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Daily invoicing, including customer portal uploads and other processing requirements
- Responsible for the review and documentation of shipped orders to ensure SOX control compliance prior to invoice distribution and order closure to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Resolve customer outstanding balance issues and enter customer credits
- Download and review payment remittances from customer portals
- Process tooling and special charges invoices per purchase order agreements and customer requirements
- New Make purchase order management, entering and updating in the system and routing for appropriate reviews
- Liaison between new make inspection and program managers for any schedule or purchase order issues
- Request new make serial numbers from customer and maintain serial number log
- Process folders and documentation for scrap and warranty orders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing
Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, invoice processing, customer service and internal controls
- Proficiency with MS Office Outlook and Excel
- ERP experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with others
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-directed and highly motivated individual able to work in fast-paced environment
