Summary:
Reporting directly to the VP of Electro-Mag Inc., the Regional Data/Comm manager will be based in Laval and is directly responsible for leading the Data/Communications sales team in the province of Quebec for Electro-Mag/Graybar Canada. This person is responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales targets, developing distribution channels, building strategic business relationships and providing vision for all sales strategies and their execution. The regional Data/Communications Manager is also responsible for containing sales costs to achieve predetermined profit returns.

Requirements
Design and deploy all Data/Communications sales goals and targets in the province of Quebec, including the preparation of quotas and sales budgets.
• Integrate and align strategies with sales team, processes, IT systems and other areas to increase the capabilities and success of the sales force.
• Develop and implement quarterly and annual sales plans, policies and programs with all branch managers in the region.
• Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing partners to ensure we are positioned as an active channel in the region.
• Perform analytics to manage sales performance against corporate targets and market developments.
• Develop and implement distribution strategies and other growth opportunities.
• Develop, manage and maintain new business accounts and partnerships to achieve profit and volume targets.
• Maximize relationships with key partners.
• Collaborate with regional management, as well as key suppliers, to develop short and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual business plans.
• Provide insights from sales - including growth, competitive analysis, market trends and business environment - for strategic planning processes.
• Develop execution strategies and tactics to support strategic plans at the regional level.
• Make sales forecasts.
• Monitor all costs and expenses; operate according to corporate procedures.
• Ensure that all staff understand the mission and objectives of the company and work towards this common goal.
• Ensuring that all employees have the necessary tools, information and knowledge to work effectively, serve our customers and support the company’s objectives.
• Develop a practical understanding of the company’s customers and suppliers through phone calls, meetings and industry events. Ensure that all reasonable requests from customers are met diligently.

Position Requirements:
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in sales or management. Candidates with a university degree or a degree in business administration or communication technology may be preferred.
• Strong experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development and business planning.
• Keen sense of diplomacy, coupled with strong skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and people management.
• Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage sales forces.
• Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and advertising theories and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
• Experience in creating and managing budgets.
• Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
• Experience in creating compensation strategies and sales incentives that drive performance of sales teams.
• High mastery of the Microsoft Office productivity suite.
• Ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor the progress of all direct reports.
• Motivate, inspire, provide and accept employee feedback.
• Knowledge of product brands Belden - Panduit - Commscope. (An asset)
• Bilingual is essential for the position.

Working conditions
