ABOUT THE ROLE 

The primary role of this position is to assist the Risk & Performance Analytics Oversight and portfolio management teams with analysis, model validation, and communication of risk exposures and performance drivers. This includes report creation and the translation of novel complex methodologies into transparent concepts for consumption both internally and externally. The team works closely with the methodologies used in the measurement, modelling and aggregation of risk for both internal and external (e.g. regulatory and client) purposes. This position requires knowledge and understanding of the different investment strategies used across the firm, and an understanding of current and past market conditions and events.

A DAY IN THE LIFE 

    • Risk Reporting & Portfolio Monitoring: Create and analyze comprehensive risk reports using specialized software on daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules, with additional reports as market conditions require. Assist in quarterly meetings with portfolio management teams and perform daily analysis of performance and risk metrics for assigned investment strategies.
    • Market Analysis & Internal Communications: Track current market trends and work with team members to conduct risk analysis that breaks down investment exposures and potential risks. Prepare monthly performance summaries for internal distribution on assigned investment strategies.
    • Portfolio Analytics & Reporting: Generate detailed portfolio statistics for all assigned investment strategies on a monthly or quarterly basis. Help interpret complex statistical reports and translate technical information into understandable insights for colleagues across the organization.
    • Research Analyst Performance Analysis and Reporting: Maintain our research analyst monitoring system and related processes, while assisting in the production of detailed analysis of individual analyst and strategy performance.
    • Risk Metrics: Calculate, track, and communicate key risk measurements (including Risk Factor Exposures, Tracking Error, regulatory guidelines, Value at Risk, and Client Risk) to internal teams.
    • Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Minimum Education Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Applied Math, Statistics or Economics

    Licenses/Certification Required

    • Willing to pursue certification(s) of CFA and/or FRM

    Minimum Specific Experience Required

    • 0-2 years of experience working in a related function (preferred);0- 2 years of experience working in a related investment management (preferred)
    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
    • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available.
