Required Knowledge and Experience:

• The Network Security IT Technologist is a member of the Network Security product team within Global IT Connectivity and
• Data Centers and is critical for securing the Medtronic computing environment and preventing security-related issues. person is responsible for the implementation of Global Security Office policies in Firewall and IPS platforms. 
• This 
• They will work with Medtronic employees, customers, Global Security, approved vendors, and Connectivity team members to design and implement security policy around infrastructure and applications. 
• They will be using business analysis skills to capture requirements along with technical skills to build the solution.
• Nice to have experience in automating firewall rules or network configuration in Ansible or Terraform
   

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• This role will be responsible for the following key processes and activities:
• Firewall rule implementation for customer requests for applications and infrastructure hosted on-prem, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud
• Firewall and IPS infrastructure platform design, planning, installation, monitoring, testing, technical analysis and support
• Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls
• Operational support including participation in an on-call rotation
• Maintain standard operation procedures
• Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to others
