Salary range: $6,500 - $8,830 per month
The Operations System Administrator ensures the successful development, execution, and analysis of product and system strategies. This role involves researching, testing, and maintaining operational application systems, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure functionality, compliance, and adherence to business rules. Additionally, the position provides guidance on operational processes and serves as the primary vendor contact for issue resolution and system enhancements.
Core Job Requirements/Outcomes
- Implement deposit and operational solutions that support business growth and strategic initiatives by partnering with stakeholders and other business lines to identify solutions, test new product and system functionality and recommend viable solutions.
- Ensure system controls for our operational systems meet STCU’s business and compliance requirements by following change control procedures, ensuring system optimizes the end user experience and ongoing knowledge of the system is maintained.
- Ensure application and system integrity by collaborating with vendors on performance of systems. Provide support to end users by responding to their daily questions, service requests, reviewing concerns and ensuring proper usage of the system. This includes troubleshooting, timely error resolution and prioritization of requests.
Other Essential Functions
- Maintain knowledge of regulations affecting operations and payment solutions.
- Partner with business lines to research and evaluate new technologies, industry trends, and best practices to satisfy STCU’s business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to create, validate and implement solutions. Ensure control changes, product setup and payment processes are clearly documented and understood by business partners
- Assist in developing solutions for lines of business owners by eliciting, defining, analyzing, simplifying, and documenting business requirements. Collaborate with other Operational teams to understand and support processes and services.
- Manage application upgrades, defect fixes and enhancements for operational processes by leading testing groups, developing and keeping test scripts up to date, and reporting findings to release project managers and vendors.
- Collaborate with the other Operations System Administrators to maintain elevated level knowledge of processing modules and applications used by the Operations Division. Work with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements and modifications to systems to improve user efficiencies.
- Provide short term and long term tactical and strategic capacity plans to meet service level objectives and ensure an exceptional member experience by forecasting volumes, developing optimized staffing schedules, recommending overtime, evaluating time off requests based on impacts to team performance and making intraday adjustments as needed for Contact Center.
Education: Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Job Experience: Minimum of five years’ work experience in the Phoenix core system or other operational systems that includes a minimum of three years’ experience in the field of financial institution operations required. Previous experience with system controls and vendor management required.
Software Skills: Experience with SQL queries, HTML, working knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems, SQL Server database.
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations.
Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Travel Demands: Reliable transportation is required for occasional travel to branches and other locations within the area.
Other: Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization. This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations.
