Scope

As a Business Controller, you will manage OPEX/CAPEX in regard to the revenue, projects, or business lines. You will be a partner for the business owners to follow and monitor the profitability of their business units. By understanding business drivers of actual results versus operating plans and budget/forecasts, you will analyze financial risks and recommend effective solutions.

Job Description

• Support the monitoring, reporting, and analysis of revenue and order intake on a regular basis.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management reports, highlighting variances against forecast, budget, and prior periods.
• Help in analyzing and understanding revenue trends, margin breakdowns, product mix, KPI’s
• Contribute to the preparation of forecasting and budgeting cycles with a focus on sales pipeline, bookings, and revenue recognition.
• Perform data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from various systems (ERP, BI tools, CRM).
• Support the development of dashboards and KPIs to track commercial performance and trends.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of order intake and revenue.
• Participate in ad-hoc financial analyses (e.g., customer profitability, regional or product performance).
• Assist in improving and automating controlling processes and reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and contribute to maintaining strong internal controls.
• Provide support to senior business controllers on strategic projects and process improvements.

Profile

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Working experience as a Financial/Business Controller or audit, internships included (2 years)
• Experience in BI (Power BI)/Data Analytics is a real asset
• Strong Excel skills

Soft skills: 

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and revenue recognition principles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Languages:

• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of French other languages is an asset
