Summary of the Role
We are seeking a mid-level Investment Strategist to join our Investment Team. In this role you will take the lead in developing macro analysis, investment models, portfolio optimization models using non-parametric techniques (e.g., Mean Absolute Semi-Deviation), expert grid models, etc. You will be essential in creating CIO dashboards that provide deep insight into their investment processes and portfolio models.
Primary Responsibilities
Develops tools and models in support of the investment process for the Calamos multi-asset public/private model portfolios.
Supports quarterly model portfolio strategy rebalance with presentation charts, markets analysis.
Works together with other colleagues, including Calamos Distribution Team, to create proprietary investment solutions for complex client engagements.
Supports the design and development of new Calamos products.
Supports work for the Executive Investment Committee.
Prepares presentations and supporting material for existing and potential clients including data visualization; charts, graphs, tables and commentary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Physics.
3-5 years of experience in financial services.
Proficient in MS Excel, Python, Julia, Optimization, PowerPoint.
Looking for an independent thinker who can convey complex ideas and implement these with minimal supervision.
Ability to present to both internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Good presentation and writing skills. Ability to interact with senior decision-makers and clients.
