Career Opportunities: Deputy Manager (3915)
Job Purpose:
To manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for MEP projects, ensuring timely procurement, vendor coordination, inventory control, and cost-effective sourcing aligned with project timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for MEP materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project schedules.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve supply issues proactively.
- Conduct periodic audits and evaluations of vendor capabilities.
Inventory & Logistics:
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for material movement.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.
- Implement systems for tracking and controlling material usage.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and site teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure alignment of supply chain activities with project milestones.
- Support in resolving site-level supply chain challenges.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and statutory compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor agreements.
- Support internal and external audits related to SCM.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials and supply chain processes.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Supply Chain Management.
- MBA or PG Diploma in SCM/Operations (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in SCM, preferably in MEP or construction projects.
