We are seeking a part time passionate and dedicated Middle School Boy's Basketball Assistant Coach who loves the Lord and desire to serve in a Christian school environment. Position Overview:
The Middle School Boy's Basketball Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach to support and develop the varsity-level middle school volleyball team, fostering both athletic and Christ-centered character. This role assists in skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while encouraging student-athletes to pursue excellence on and off the court.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in planning and leading practices, games, and team activities.
- Help teach basketballl fundamentals, techniques, and strategies appropriate for middle school athletes.
- Support the head coach in modeling Christian values to players, parents, and the community.
- Assist with communication between athletes, parents, and school administration.
- Help ensure adherence to Shoreline Christian School and Cascade Middle School League (CMSL) rules.
- Assist with care and management of team equipment and uniforms.
Qualifications:
- Prior basketball coaching or playing experience preferred.
- Ability to positively lead middle school athletes in a disciplined and encouraging manner.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Shoreline Christian School.
- Must pass a background check.
