MAPS Special Education Instructional Assistant – Table Rock Elementary
Join Eagle Point School District 9 – Supporting Students with Heart and Purpose

Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-centered Special Education
Instructional Assistant to join the MAPS Program at Table Rock Elementary. This vital classified position supports students
with diverse needs, helping them access their education through personalized and structured support,
teamwork, and a strong commitment to student growth.

About Eagle Point School District 9
Located in the scenic Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, EPSD9 serves the communities of Eagle Point, White City,
and surrounding rural areas. With roughly 3,650 students across the district, we offer the best of both
worlds—tight-knit school communities and access to bigger-city amenities.
Our schools focus on preparing all students for success in life
 beyond the classroom.

 About the Role
The MAPS Special Education Instructional Assistant will work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team
to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students' IEPs. This includes providing academic,
behavioral, and functional support; assisting with personal care needs; and maintaining accurate documentation and
communication with the team. This role requires someone who is responsive, patient, and not
afraid to roll with the unpredictable nature of special education.

Assignments are based on student need and may include working one-on-one, in small groups,
or in inclusive classroom settings. You'll play a key role in helping students with disabilities grow
academically, socially, and emotionally—sometimes with paperwork in hand
and a walkie-talkie in your pocket.

 Who We’re Looking For
EPSD9 is searching for someone who believes all students can learn and thrive—especially with the right support.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, proactive, and confident in working with students who may require physical assistance,
behavioral redirection, or personal care. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to complete
or already hold CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications, and have either two years of college credit, an associate's degree,
or the ability to pass the district’s assessment in reading, writing, and math. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required. Most importantly, this role calls for
someone with a deep sense of compassion and ideally, a good sense of humor to go along with it.

Why Join the Table Rock Team?
This is more than a job—it’s a chance to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life every single day.
Table Rock Elementary is home to a caring team that values collaboration, innovation, and supporting one another.
You’ll be trained, supported, and encouraged to grow your own skills while helping
 students discover theirs.
