QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years experience in performing work with emphasis on student data collection, working with database applications or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training that demonstrates desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Working knowledge of computer word-processing and Microsoft Office applications, and Google.
- Knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies
- Ability to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Ability and knowledge in database applications and design.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Ability to operate computer equipment for email communications, word processing, data management, and other assigned tasks as related to the position.

- Ability to understand and maintain students’ and parents’ rights to confidentiality and not violate those rights; nor discuss students in inappropriate places or with anyone not in direct contact with such individual students.

- Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintain accurate data entry of all student information into the student information system (SIS) within required timelines, including the continual update of existing information, ensuring accurate and current information for all students at all times.
- Maintain various reports on student data using a variety of software applications.
- Create and maintain design charts, graphs, and tables of data as needed.
- Authenticate documentation for CTE Data Collection as required by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE).
- Track data and prepare reports for the sites and district-level personnel as needed related to incoming/outgoing students.
- Assist with maintenance of student data to include: assessments; test scores; discipline; attendance; and enrollment.
- Work collaboratively with High School Counselors, CTE Staff and Administration, to ensure accurate enrollment.
- Assist teachers at all sites with information regarding enrollments, data collection of assessment results.
- Support CTE staff in placement surveys as required by ADO.
- Assist with integrating the use of other web-based software with Synergy.
- Assist with the upload/download of data into computer applications utilized by the district.
- Upkeep inventory required by CTE programs
- Attend training and planning sessions as needed.
- Provide clerical assistance as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with hands and arms, sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend as necessary. The employee will read correspondence and computer screens, and use the telephone.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have substantial contact with parents, students, staff, and the public.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The Information Management Specialist reports to the Principal/Site Administrator. The Information Management Specialist will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN:
Starting at $16.85 per hour WORK YEAR: 12 Months / 8 hours per day
