The Assistant Facility Manager assists the Facility Manager with the implementation of the animal care program and the associated procedures and policies of OLAR. The Assistant Facility Manager has supervisory responsibilities over the animal husbandry positions operating in the animal facilities. This position has the authority to assign tasks, evaluate and implement training processes, check the animal husbandry staffs’ work for timeliness and correctness, monitor progress and workflow, making adjustments as necessary, and participate in the hiring, evaluation and grievance processes, as well as initiate the disciplinary action process.
