PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. We are looking for energetic, results-driven individuals to join our rapidly growing team and industry.

The Extraction Technician II will be responsible for safely and effectively assisting with all aspects of the extraction process. 

The pay for this role is $25/hour

Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)

  • Performs all Extraction Technician I responsibilities
  • Performs ethical extraction methods as required by SOP
  • Assist as needed and oversees Extraction Technician I with pre-processing, in process and post processing procedures / tasks
  • Effectively follows chain of custody protocols for all product during the course of daily operation
  • Adheres to all Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements and documents these accordingly
  • Follows and adheres to all FDA, OSHA and State regulations to maintain or exceed standards
  • Trains/mentors new extraction techs on methodologies, documentation, and appropriate PPE
  • Understands and follows all safety and laboratory procedures as well as maintaining accurate production documentation
  • Understands how to efficiently work in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to conduct R&D trials and accurately report findings / results
  • Making and monitoring electronic conversions and movements in Pharmacanns’ traceability system and Biotrac
  • Provide coverage in the processing, warehouse and cultivation departments, as business needs require 
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
  • Embodies the culture, values, and tenets of PharmaCann and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum
  • State law requires that applicants be 21 years old to work for cultivation center
  • Knowledge of 5S protocols and procedures
  • One(1) year of Extraction Tech I experience. Proficient in all extract methods, SOP’s and safety compliance; knows and understands the fundamental principles of the field and applies them in a proficient manner. 
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong mathematical skills, competent understanding of conversions of monetary, weight, volume and distance 
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • Strong reasoning skills
  • Interpretation of safety regulations, operating and manufacturing instructions
  • Good documentation practices
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and improve each operation
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time 
  • Some travel may be required for training purposes 

Working conditions

  • Requires weekend/holidays alternating rotation
  • Requires overtime according to business needs
  • Must remove all jewelry, including rings, brooches, watches, pins, earrings, necklaces and visible piercings. In addition, false nails, nail polish, false eyelashes and any other object that may possibly contaminate food is not allowed in the processing/production areas

Physical requirements

  • Standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves and 75+ pounds with a buddy, carrying product totes, pushing carts, moving and making adjustments to process equipment.
  • Ability to be fitted for, and wear protective gear.
