Intern, Business Analysis

The Business Analysis, Intern, is responsible for developing business requirements documents to fulfill project requests made by the client. Additionally, the Intern will conduct project interviews with the requester to create a project request form and follow up meetings to gather business requirements in detail.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with developers to review requirements documentation, answer questions, and follow up with users to gather more information as required
  • Perform testing on application systems developed prior to conducting user acceptance testing
  • Create process flow diagrams of the 'Current' process and 'Future State' process
  • Develop business requirements documentation and schedule meeting with development staff to review
  • Serve as a liaison between end users and development staff
  • Perform unit testing on the software applications developed based on requirements provided
  • Conduct user acceptance testing sessions
  • Generate project status reports
  • Keep management informed of progress, risks, and blockers to projects
  • Perform light project management duties

Education

  • College courses in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 - meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

Experience

  • Customarily has exposure to business processes and experience in mapping these processes using Microsoft Visio or equivalent
