Key Responsibilities:  

  • Take responsibility for success of the group from turnover through departure.
  • Fully understand the terms conveyed in contractual agreements.
  • Respond to any guests’ communications within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Upselling additional revenue streams beyond scope of group contract
  • Maintain contacts and correspondence with any and all group leaders in our Sales Force (Delphi) software.
  • Act as Group’s single liaison to the resort
  • Acquire Group’s rooming list and pairings according to terms of contract.
  • Work closely with reservations team to assure that contracted accommodations have been secured prior to arrival.
  • Collect initial deposits and final balances as they are stated within the executed contract.
  • Confirm all information regarding their groups on resumes and banquet event orders (BEO’s), amenity forms and other interdepartmental communications.
  • Communicate pertinent information to other departments through verbal and written communication.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Director of Golf & Sports Sales, Golf Sales Manager, Director of Golf and Golf Operations team to ensure the highest quality experience for our guests at the resort.
  • Work directly with our accounting team to ensure proper billing and revenue receipts in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the Conrad Orlando and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress sales teams.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of comp set including their strength and weaknesses, how to competitively sell against them and understanding the threat that they may pose to the resort.
  • Be able to conduct site-visits that will secure business at a high proficiency level.
  • Update and maintain client files and notes including contracts, booking patterns, accommodations, pairings, F&B requests, merchandise requests and any other pertinent information on golf or other revenue areas.
  • Be fully versed on the scope and breadth of the resort and able to effectively communicate the Evermore story in any situation.
  • Provide management oversight in Golf Operations in the absence of the Director of Golf and /or Head Golf Professional.

 

Education, Skills, and Experience 

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
  • PGA Member of Associate preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in golf sales, resort sales, conference service, golf operations, or general sale background required.
  • Experience using electronic tee sheets, property management systems and specifically Sales Force (Delphi) preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google software offerings
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • High-energy self-starter with outgoing personality who can work independently, within set parameters, with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in golf ability as well as understanding of the etiquette, play and standards of the game and is comfortable playing with and in front of clients.
  • Outstanding mathematical capabilities
  • Problem solving and critical thinking
  • Inspired to always represent Evermore brand values and standards inside and outside the boundaries of the resort and in our community.
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines/ instructions in English.
  • Sees the extra mile as their starting point in each and every interaction.
  • Ability to foster relationships with teammates, potential clients, resort guests and community leaders.
  • Comfortable with starting and maintaining conversations with guests and teammates.
  • Maintain the resort’s integrity and prestige by complying with all golf, sales and operational standards, policies, procedures, manuals, memos and given instructions.

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to work most weekends.
  • Able to visually look at a computer for extended periods of time while using repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
  • Able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods of time
  • Able to stand, walk long distances, stoop, kneel, bend, and or reach periodically
  • Able to be on feet and mobile for duration of workday.
  • Must be able to safely and effectively navigate a 1100-acre resort in order to facilitate and host events and guests as required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with guests to enhance the scope of their experience and diffuse and resolve guests concerns.
  • Must be able to lift up to or exceeding 25lbs.
