About the role 

The Nuclear Company is hiring a Manager, Internal Communications position. You will be responsible for creating and executing a strategic internal communications framework that effectively scales with our rapid growth, while upholding the meticulous standards and safety culture required by the nuclear industry. You will report to our SVP, Administration.  

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive, scalable internal communications strategy that reinforces our mission, vision, and core values across all business units. 
  • Executive Communications: Partner directly with the SVP, Administration and senior leadership to draft company-wide announcements, organizational updates, and strategic messages, ensuring clarity and transparency. 
  • Content Management: Own the creation and deployment of all internal content, including town halls, leadership memos, company newsletters, intranet content, and presentations. 
  • Culture & Alignment: Design communications campaigns that strengthen our safety culture, foster employee engagement, such as driving employee reward and recognition programs. Ensure consistent understanding of company priorities and policy changes during periods of high growth. 
  • Crisis & Change Management: Serve as the internal communications lead during organizational changes or crises, developing sensitive, timely, and compliant messaging. 
  • Channel Optimization: Manage and optimize our internal communication channels (e.g., Slack, email, intranet) to ensure information is accessible, targeted, and not overwhelming. 

Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement, preferably within a hyper-growth technology or highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, defense, biotech). 
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. You must be able to distill complex concepts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to counsel and influence executive-level leaders on communications best practices and internal messaging strategy. 
  • Startup DNA: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You are a self-starter who is comfortable building processes and tools from scratch.

Estimated Starting Salary Range
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $118,000 - $140,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
