The Opportunity:

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide key support to operations and senior executives in financial reporting, monthly forecasts, and executive presentations. This role will assist Operations (General Managers and EVP) through monthly reporting, Flash projections, variance to budget/forecast analysis, development of KPIs, cost savings initiatives and will provide recommendations for future improvements in financial KPIs. 

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will also work with the accounting team on monthly reporting and results reviews. He/she will provide support with the preparation of Board packages, monthly financial presentations to the leadership team and other projects requested by senior management. Together with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Director, the Financial Analyst will build a tool to track and update internal pricing and will build and improve internal pricing forecast.

 

This position requires a proactive approach in identifying opportunities for improvements in financial reporting and forecasting processes and providing support for optimization of related processes to increase data accuracy and efficiencies.    

 

This position will be based in Duluth, GA and will report to the FP&A Director.

Travel Demands: Anticipated travel is 0-15%

 

How you will make an impact: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:

 

  • Improve and lead Flash process for the company. 
  • Monitor financial performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance and proactively communicating deviations to upper management.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting.
  • Work with a Business Intelligence team to build and implement automated reporting and Dashboards for Plants, Program and Brokerage businesses.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Provide support in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support cost reduction, process improvement, or other initiatives related to improving financial performance.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting.

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. 
  • MBA preferred but not required. 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills; demonstrated comfort interacting with executive-level management.
  • High level of data integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance. 
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ability to work independently in a changing, fast paced environment.
  • Strong team player.
