ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         Oversees building projects from conception to completion.

·         Managing timelines, budgets, subcontractors.

·         Developing project plans, securing permits, managing resources and vendors.

·         Ensuring compliance with building codes.

·         Train and manage all construction team members assigned to projects.

·         Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

·         Monitor performance of sub-contractors and staff.

·         Accomplish project by defining the scope and resources required within deadlines.

·         Allocate resources, materials, sub-contractors and other staff.

·         Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

·         Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.

·         Effectively communicate with coworkers, members of the department leadership, and other departments. 

·         Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

·         Excellent time management and organizational skills.

·         Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

·         Ability of complex reading, writing, math, and task completion skills is required.

·        Must have the following skills: coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, driving, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.

·         Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.

·         Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·        Must have 5 years’ experience in general construction leadership or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

·         Must be able to maintain valid driver’s license and meet GSR driving requirements.

·         Forklift Operator

·         OSHA 30 Safety Training

·         Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts training

·         First Aid/CPR/AED

·         Fall Protection Training

·         Microsoft Office or equivalent

·         Construction Management Software

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·        While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, frequently crouching, kneeling, and occasionally sitting, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.

·       Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less occasionally.

·       Dependent on the shift the team member will be occasionally driving.

·       The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, both hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.

·       Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

·        Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment, mechanical devices, and other electrical devices.

·       The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud or quiet at times.

·       Team Member may be exposed to confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust, flame/heat generated devices, moving objects, high places, slippery surfaces, and/or secondhand smoke.
