We have a rare opening on our Venue Operations Team – these are the people behind the scenes who facilitate the wonderful programming and special events in Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Due to growth, we are accepting application for a newly created part-time Venues Administrative Services Assistant. Essential Responsibilities
• Performs tasks which assist with the processing of participant data and related communications.
• Prepares and updates event documents in a timely, professional and accurate manner, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Provides excellent customer service, consistent with strong emphasis on core hospitality principles as established by the institution.
• Engages vendors, contractors, participants, volunteers and guests during and after special events, responding to their needs as appropriate.
• Supports the Venue Operations Team with general clerical activities such as mailings, scheduling appointments, copying, scanning, and file management.
• Performs duties in a professional, customer-focused manner, in-person, on the phone and via email, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contributes to the effective team management of all problems, issues and opportunities.
• Provides guest and participant care and leadership during Event Check-In and special program dates.
• Participates in various training sessions as required.
• Performs other activities as necessary.
Your Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 or more years of office experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Adobe software
Special Skills & Important information
• Flexible availability to work weekdays as well as occasional weekends, early mornings and holidays
• Strong communication skills are essential
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills are leveraged daily
• Organizational skills necessary
