Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of finished goods and raw materials to support the supply chain needs of Livent and its customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investigates freight discrepancies, overages, shortages and damages from freight carriers by communicating with carriers and / or sales and ensuring resolution of discrepancies
- Assist in maintaining records and communication with logistics providers
- Monitor shipment schedules and provide feedback to internal customers
- Track shipment deliveries and update internal documentation accordingly
- Assist in preparing export documentation
- Monitors, validates, and verifies invoices for Livent Logistics
- Update SharePoint files as needed
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all claim information
- Assist in maintaining transportation workbook accuracy by monitoring transportation networks and publishing KPI results.
- Assist in obtaining quotations from logistics providers
- Work with Customer Centricity to review and resolve customer complaints by completing effective root cause investigations and identifying corrective actions with logistics team and external carriers
- Perform other duties as necessary to ensure compliant operation and record keeping as it relates to transportation logistics
- Ensure compliance with agency standards, minimize/eliminate costs attributable to non-compliance fines or excessive regulations
- Assist or backup other departments when needed

Education and Experience
- Minimum four-year degree required. Preferred in Supply Chain or Logistics.
- Internship or CO-OP experience preferred
- Proficiency in excel and/or database manage is a plus.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Be detailed in all notations to properly communicate to the team
- Must be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization, be results oriented, have strong analytical and decision-making abilities, and a creative problem solver
- Good oral and written communication skills, reading/writing/grammar proficiency, good analytical ability, self-motivation, experienced problem solver, and moderate stress tolerance are required
- Must be familiar with transportation logistics and demonstrate competence
- Must be able to maintain records timely
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Managing customer situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments for service and assistance.
- Good oral and written communications skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers and employees.
- Requisite self-motivating and organizational skills to contribute to the building of a positive team spirit, and the desire to place success of team above own interests.
- The ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and a diverse group of individuals will also be crucial in this role.
