The Business Development Representative (BDR) role holds responsibility for cultivating relationships with prospective clients in order to catalyse business development success. You will qualify our leads and schedule meetings with clients in order to understand their needs. You will also take a proactive approach to source new leads and opportunities in order to maximize our new client acquisition.
What that means day to day
- Responding to incoming client queries, targeted on up-selling to the existing customer base.
- Outbound calling to potential business prospects to promote Alcumus' product range, scheduling meetings to further understand their needs.
- Using a creative approach to source and convert new business leads using multiple sources.
- Meet and exceed new business and KPI targets to ensure desirable revenue generation and behaviours that are consistent with a sustainable business.
- Adopting and implementing CRM into daily activities ensuring accurate reporting and forecasts.
- Working closely with the field-based business development team, providing cross sell opportunities for other services, ensuring a consultative approach to maximise all available commercial opportunities.
What you’ll need to be successful
- B2B telephone experience ideally within a Sales environment.
- Experience providing high levels of customer service.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and identity new business opportunities.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience of seeking out larger commercial opportunities through a consultative approach.
- Experience using LinkedIn as a tool for new business and preparation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (CRM Software).
- Experience working with Enterprise customers in a Health and Safety, Risk Management or Supply Chain environment.
