Job Summary
A Process Engineer documents the set-up instructions and job procedures for the assembly lines or work cells. The Process Engineer would continually support the on-going production manufacturing operation. They would develop concepts regarding work-study, ergonomics, operation research, manufacturing management, materials management, production plans. Also, the Process Engineer would pursue optimization of the organization in areas such as materials, machinery, methodologies, measurements, and processes as required.
Essential Functions:
- Develop all the work instruction for the assembly lines and work cells.
- Develop all the equipment start up processes and develop training plan.
- Evaluate and execute time-study techniques to establish labor standards as needed
- Improve the production efficiency. Research about the tools, methodologies and processes and find out solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Develop improvements of workplace design.
- Evaluate opportunities for efficient utilization and cost reduction, presenting solutions to continually improve overall production system performance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- High School diploma and 5 or more years of experience in a related field or Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of experience in a related field.
