Description

 The P-8A Increment 3 aircraft integrates advanced Mission and Combat systems to provide a comprehensive tactical picture. The Mission system includes tactical plots, sensor/stores management, weapons control, communications, and surveillance systems. The Combat system encompasses ASW SIGINT, Wide Band Satcom, ESM, Acoustics, and Track Management (Minotaur).


We are seeking an experienced Fleet Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) with operational knowledge of these systems and their contributions to integrated mission execution. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between PMA-290 and Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) squadrons as they transition to the Increment 3 Block 2 configuration. You will provide subject matter expertise in P-8A Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) roles, responsibilities, and systems, while also supporting other mission crew positions as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between PMA-290 and MPRA squadrons during Increment 3 Block 2 transition.
  • Provide expert guidance on TACCO roles, responsibilities, and system operations.
  • Support and advise mission crew positions beyond TACCO, as required.
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ensure effective communication across Fleet operators, squadron leadership, and program management.
  • Support the development and implementation of training, courseware, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor system performance, identify integration issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of system installations, upgrades, and SETR events.
  • Maintain proficiency with Minotaur and provide expertise on its use and data outputs.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Math from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Operational experience as a P-8A, Triton, or EP-3 Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) required.
  • Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) experience required.
  • Instructor TACCO qualification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage Fleet operators, squadron leadership, and program management to assess issues and recommend solutions.
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR’s acquisition process, including budgeting, contracts, scheduling, SETR (Systems Engineering Technical Review), installation management, and tracking deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Track Management System (Minotaur), including system operation and data outputs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools such as Microsoft Project.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $150,000 - $160,00 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
