Could you be the full-time hybrid RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) Engineer in West Mifflin, PA (Pittsburgh area) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll ensure the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of our railway products, contributing to safer and more efficient transportation systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and customer stakeholders), perform safety analyses, address feedback from independent safety assessors, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Performing RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) analyses as per applicable instructions/processes and specific customer requirements,
-
Delivering RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) analyses compliant with QCD work package commitments,
-
Contributing to the assessment of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) performance of products and identifying upstream RAMS requirements to meet targets,
-
Applying Alstom/Engineering rules and processes, particularly those dedicated to RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) activities,

Seeking technical understanding of Alstom products to better assess safety performance and identify improvement areas,

Proactively challenging RAMS data/results to enhance adequacy and consistency of studies and requirements.

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or other related technical/engineering disciplines - mandatory,

Extensive hands-on experience with safety methodologies and tools related to RAMS—Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety - mandatory.

Knowledge of safety hazard analysis, safety assessment etc., preferably applied to Railway products,
-
Familiarity with Customer & Product Focus principles,
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills, including with third parties (e.g., customers),
-
Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and technical meetings.
