This is a key leadership role responsible for the planning, development, and execution of the card game operations, focusing on profitability, policy adherence, and customer satisfaction. The Manager ensures all card games, particularly poker, are conducted with the highest levels of integrity and compliance, meeting all established MICS. The role requires the ability to analyze procedures and performance data to make strategic adjustments that maximize business results. The work environment includes exposure to both climate-controlled office settings and the casino floor, which involves exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement card game policies for both short- and long-term departmental goals.
  • Ensure all games are conducted according to established policies and procedures, with strict adherence to all Minimum Internal Controls Standards (MICS), particularly for poker.
  • Direct, coordinate, and analyze card game procedures and operations to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute the annual department business plans and budgets; maintain monthly budgets and provide status reports, justifying any unusual variances.
  • Create and implement engaging card game promotions and tournaments, review their performance, and adjust offerings based on business needs in collaboration with leadership.
  • Build team loyalty, model professional behavior, and exercise supervisory and management authority over the department, including providing input for hiring, firing, and performance decisions.
  • Maintain constant customer interaction to ensure complete customer satisfaction and a high-quality gaming experience.
  • Maintain and submit all required records and reports while strictly upholding the confidential nature of company records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 to 5 years of gaming management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and work with mathematical concepts and probabilities.
  • Basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license by the appropriate gaming authority.
