The Lead Line Coordinator is a working position that has overall first level responsibility for the efficient and correct operation of a packing or assembly line and assists with oversight of Line Coordinators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up assembly or packing lines correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure the quality of finished products, including auditing procedures as required.
- Follow all Production Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Accurately perform data entry of orders, quantities, batches, time, pallet time, etc.
- Provide clear instructions to contract workers to ensure job requirements are met.
- Train Assistants and Production Associates.
- Complete necessary paperwork and line reports.
- Ensure production schedules are met on time.
- Promptly report problems, concerns, or out-of-standard conditions to the Supervisor.
- Collaborate with Supply to ensure uninterrupted raw material flow.
- Coordinate with Shipping to ensure timely removal of finished product.
- Assist with directing work activities of Line Coordinators.
- Communicate production issues, delays, or changes to the Production Supervisor.
- Enforce and follow all Safety and GMP rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Strong reading, writing, and math skills to complete production reports and balance workloads.
- Ability to perform duties of Line Coordinator with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Initiative and problem-solving ability to address unexpected situations.
- Ability to work overtime or varied shifts as needed.
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Packing solutions industry experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in high temperature and humidity conditions with proper PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willing and able to work up to 12-hour shifts.
