About the Department
We are seeking an experienced solutions architect to serve as a senior technology architect supporting Rapid Application Development in Dynamics CRM and Power Platform based solutions. This will be a lead solutions architect for important internal customers like the Board of Supervisors, County Executive Offices, and other county business areas.
This role coordinates solution upgrades and modifications, manages system downtime and other operational requirements. Collaborates closely with agency partners to evaluate business processes and functions, propose innovative solutions, and prioritize and coordinate multiple agency requests, determining the required level of effort, resources, and schedules.
Oversees the technical work of assigned staff and contractors and collaborate with other DIT teams to ensure that technical solutions are viable, compliant with county standards, and aligned with enterprise architecture. Acting as a subject matter expert, leads the design and implementation of county-wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, including integration with web applications and other agency systems, platform enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
Operating under limited supervision, leads rapid application development efforts within the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 environments, reporting directly to the business applications manager and providing technical guidance and architectural direction to developers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; plus five years of experience in systems design, development, programming and maintenance, and/or project or program management experience or equivalent in a complex information systems environment and supervisory experience of internal staff and vendors/contractor staff, and /or experience in matrix management environment in a complex organization.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee is required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) or more years of related experience in development of dynamics model driven applications.
- Skilled in JavaScript.
- Experience configuring, and implementation of Power Apps, Power Automate, power pages, copilot studio and AI Builder.
- Knowledge and ability to ingest APIs work with integration of solution components, architecture, infrastructure, and tools.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and power apps pipelines.
- Ability to develop technical specifications, conduct code reviews, diagnose, repair, resolve application problems, and automate/manage solutions.
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification.
