Job Description:- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery
- Interpret and execute work from technical drawings, cut sheets, and production plans
- Ensure accurate cutting, sizing, and quality control of wood components
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards
- Support other shop operations as needed
The ideal candidate for this Sawyer role would likely possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years of cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry experience
- Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw, edge banders, CNC routers and hand/power tools
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets
- Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems
- Asset: Forklift Certification
Compensation & Benefits
- Full-time, Monday through Friday Shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities
- Paid vacation, holidays and sick days
- Benefits after 3 months: Dental, health spending account and extended health care
- Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
