How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice  

Reporting to the Senior Director of Key Accounts, this role will be responsible for delivering accurate retail and gross to net sales forecasts while balancing healthy inventory levels in partnership with North America retailers. Through effective planning, analytical insights, and OTB management, this role helps to achieve company financial targets through close collaboration with cross-functional team and retailers. We are looking for someone who is versatile and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.  

As a North America Commercial Planner for Wholesale, a typical day might include a mix of the following: 

  • Forecast and achieve retail and net revenue targets and profitability goals; regularly assess performance against goals and communicate risks and opportunities to senior leadership. 
  • Retail sales will be forecasted bottoms-up and validated with mix of business and side-by-side activation plans. Promotional strategy plans and impact will be key elements of the forecast. 
  • Own a stock & sales plan by account, grounded in retail sales forecasts driving inventory need and proactively identify any gaps in retailer inventory.  
  • Use retail sales plans and stock & sales plans to forecast gross to net, including deductions and chargebacks. 
  • Advise on dimensioning of new product launches as well as associated cannibalization, where relevant, and assessing exit recommendation.  
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership, outlining these forecasts and results recommending strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports detailing sell-through and sell-in. This may include: rankings, productivity, and competitive analysis, SKU analysis, inventory position, leveraging this data for business forecasting.
  • Build and foster relationships with retailer planning team. Partner with planners to optimize inventory position.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain to develop, execute and sustain aligned inventory flows. Partner with marketing, product development, IT/Analytics to ensure operational excellence. 
  • Support launch planning process to ensure clear customer priorities, aligned pre-shipment approval and identification of potential shipment risks 
  • Commercial Planner is a key stakeholder in S&OP. Planner provides unit forecast as part of consensus process.  

The Details:

  • Location: We are based in Seattle, WA. Local candidates are preferred.
  • Hours: Typical PST business hours, with some flexibility required 
  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle long periods of both sitting & screen time 
  • Travel requirements: Occasional, approximately 4X per year

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$115,000 - $130,000 USD/annually

We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
