How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

We’re seeking a passionate, strategic, and solutions-focused Senior People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner who thrives on partnering with leaders, driving innovative people practices, and fostering a culture where our team can do their best work.

Oh, and did we mention? This is a hybrid role - being based 2–3 days a week in our beautiful downtown Seattle office, located in the heart of the International District, with easy access to the city’s best food, culture, and energy.

As a Senior P&C Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders and team members in the US, Canada and Australia with responsibilities including: 

  • Aligning people strategies with business objectives to strengthen culture, engagement, and performance.  
  • Acting as the voice of employees and leaders to the P&C team—ensuring needs are understood and addressed. 
  • Coaching leaders and employees on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, change management, leadership development, equity & inclusion. 
  • Driving employee engagement by championing P&C programs and resolving issues with professionalism and care. 
  • Providing thoughtful guidance on sensitive matters including performance issues, harassment, discrimination, and workplace safety. 
  • Applying talent management processes (performance cycles, calibration, succession planning) to ensure fair evaluations, merit reviews, and bonus allocations. 
  • Translating P&C data into actionable insights that identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support retention and development. 
  • Supporting adoption of P&C programs and tools in areas such as onboarding, engagement initiatives, and career development. 
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws through training, policy management, and investigations.  
  • Managing employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, promotions, transfers, exits) for assigned teams. 

The Details:

  • Location: Seattle, WA (candidates must already be based in the Greater Seattle area). This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work onsite at our downtown Seattle office 2–3 days per week.
  • Hours: Typical PST Business Hours, some flexibility
  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time
  • Travel requirements: Weekly travel to our Kent Distribution Facility

Required Experience  

  • Proven track record as an HR business partner plus deep expertise in at least one HR specialty. 
  • Trusted handling of sensitive and confidential matters. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (HRIS experience is a plus). 
  • Experience supporting teams in person, hybrid, and fully remote.

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$115,000 - $130,000 USD/annually

Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
