EnSafe is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Professional to work as a full-time consultant at a client site in Chardon, OH. This position is based on a 6-month contract basis with the potential for extension. This is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving safety culture and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- Implement and support client EHS programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Conduct assessments and provide technical guidance on:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Machine guarding
- Confined space entry
- Job hazard analysis
- Administer safety-related programs and projects.
- Deliver EHS training and support to facility personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS Studies or equivalent professional experience.
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train others.
- Experience with safety program development and implementation.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific EHS regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS Management systems.
- Proven expertise in hazard identification and control strategies.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
