So, what’s the role all about?

In this role, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software features that align with agreed architectures and requirements. You will be expected to quickly understand product design, existing issues, and improvement areas, while contributing to building scalable and production-ready solutions. Ensuring code quality through unit and system tests, identifying and fixing bugs, and adhering to best engineering practices will be a core part of your responsibilities. You will also collaborate with team members by reviewing designs and code, proactively driving process improvements, and partnering with support teams to resolve production issues (L4 support) in a timely manner. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

This new SaaS platform will enable our customers (some of the biggest financial institutes around the world) to create solutions on the platform to fight financial crime.

 

Have you got what it takes?

We’re looking for a passionate engineer who thrives on building robust, scalable, and high-performing systems. If you bring 5–6 years of solid hands-on development experience in Java, combined with expertise in databases like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Cassandra, you’re already off to a strong start. Your background in object-oriented design, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes will enable you to tackle complex challenges with ease. Add in your ability to collaborate in Agile teams, communicate effectively across a global setup, and adapt quickly to new technologies—then you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

 

Qualifications (Essential):

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (BE/BTech/MTech/MCA).
  • 5–6 years of hands-on software development experience in Java (mandatory).
  • Strong software development experience in Java, Scala, Linux, Maven, Git.
  • Database expertise in MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP).
  • Exposure to scalability and performance tuning.
  • Experience in microservices architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in developing high-performance, highly available, and scalable systems.
  • Ability to work and collaborate in multi-disciplinary Agile teams, adopting Agile practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Self-driven with strong ownership, initiative, and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Proven experience working in a global, distributed team environment.
  • Passion for learning new technologies, performing hands-on POCs, and adapting quickly to alternative frameworks when required.

 

Qualifications (Desired):

  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure and technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Knowledge of fraud detection or fraud management domains.
  • Design Principles (SOLID) and Design Patterns
  • Additional technical expertise in Cassandra, Kafka and Oracle.
