Purpose of Position: The Security Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's security systems and protocols. This role involves monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
Minimum Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and/or computer technical school or the equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Technical certification preferred.
Experience: Two to five years security experience preferred.

- Must be bondable.
- Must be flexible and able to work unusual and variable hours/schedules including but not limited to evenings, weekends, etc.
- Must always be on call.
- Must be accurate, dependable and reliable.
- Excellent judgement, innovative thinking, problem solving, communication and organizational skills preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CC, SSCP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection).
- Knowledge of cloud security and best practices for securing cloud environments.
- Understanding of networking protocols and security concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
