JOB TITLE: Promotions Supervisor (Must be 21 years of age or older)

DEPARTMENT: Promotions

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager 

SALARY: Grade 21

              Range Starts: $48,755.20 /annually

              Range Ends: $73,132.80/annually

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

SUPERVISES: Promotions Specialists                   

JOB SUMMARY: This team member assists the Director of Marketing in directing all aspects of the Promotion Department, including the responsibility for creating innovative promotions and custom marketing programs.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:   

  1. Assists in the direction of work of all Promotions Department team members; including the responsibilities of planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating team member performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing guest complaints and resolving problems, and other administrative requirements of the department.
  2. Assists in the direction of departmental operations in accordance with applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and management directives.
  3. Assists in the development, implementation, and enforcement of the policies and procedures of the department.
  4. Assists in the development of the department’s operating budget, monitors the department’s financial performance, and assists in the development of strategic plans accordingly.
  5. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  6. Assists in the professional development of department personnel.
  7. Responsible for dealing with vendors, guests, and team members on promotions and special events.
  8. May attend community events for a Resort & Casino promotional campaign.
  9. Responsible for maintaining and ordering merchandise and decorations for Resort & Casino Promotions and Resort & Casino incentives for guests.
  10. Responsible for assisting in creating monthly promotions with Marketing team members and monitors results through the online accounting system to measure effectiveness.
  11. Responsible for researching new Promotions ideas.
  12. Responsible for copywriting of radio, TV, and prints.
  13. Responsible for negotiating, purchasing, and delivery arrangements of large campaign giveaways.
  14. Responsible for thorough knowledge of the Resort & Casino games and Redding Rancheria History to further educate guests, team members, and the public.
  15. Responsible for decorating, set-up, coordination and implementation of Resort & Casino events, promotions and holidays. May include coordinated planning with other departments for their events.
  16. Responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and organization of all promotion equipment and product.
  17. Responsible for obtaining and distributing information on Resort & Casino Promotions to all departments. Including requests for assistance and materials from other departments.
  18. Responsible for assisting Group Sales in creating promotions to sell to Groups.
  19. Recommends the hiring, termination, promotion, or any other change of team member employment status to the Director of Marketing. 
  20. Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino.
  21. Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program.
  22. Other duties assigned by the Director of Marketing. 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

 

The education requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of education than required will be reflected during the recruitment process:  

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is required. 

 

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:  

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of marketing/promotional or related progressive experience is required.
  • A strong understanding of the principles and practices of team member supervision, along with a strong combination of written and verbal communication skills to write, read, and comprehend written correspondence, concurrent with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the Resort & Casino is required.
  • The ability to perform their job functions in an atmosphere where priorities and deadlines may change frequently is required.
  • Strong computer skills, concurrent with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and online accounting systems, are preferred.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently sits.
  • Occasionally stands, walks, drives, bends/stoops, climbs, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required.
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required.
