SUMMARY: This position is responsible for high level execution of digital services, application systems analysis and implementation, and data analysis in support of credit union goals. Provides consultative and strategic insight to credit union leaders and collaborates with industry experts to identify problems, analyze information, develop and implement business performance solutions consistent with business strategies. The position provides operational expertise in the areas of business application, core system and support, automation, and product and service research and development. Provides Credit Union staff with fast, accurate, and secure methods to access information, in order that members can be served in a highly efficient and effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Responsible for developing, implementing and communicating long and short-term goals of the Information Technology department it order to support the overall mission of the credit union. Provides critical oversight to the IT change management effort to ensure stability and security of the infrastructure. Ensures that key technology resources are managed to ensure the security and integrity of the APGFCU infrastructure are sustained. Operationally, ensures access to business applications, core and works to exploit technologies to their fullest in support of business goals. Remain current with developments in the information systems field and their potential impact on the Credit Union's present and future needs.
Leadership and Development: Motivate staff toward accomplishing goals, productivity, accuracy and efficiency. Ensure the mission, core values of the credit union and cooperative principles are put into practice within the Information Technology department. Demonstrate APGFCU leadership, cultural, and behavioral standards by modeling expectations. Responsible for all areas of talent development for departmental staffing including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; promoting, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving concerns. Consult with Human Resources about all employee relations matters and staffing strategic initiatives. Develop career paths for the professional development and promotion of employees within the Credit union; ensure smooth transitions during management changes. Coach and mentor direct reports in preparation for succession planning. Participate in developing a cohesive department, coordinating activities of assigned areas.
Risk Management: Performs enterprise business impact analysis and risk assessments on an annual basis. Remain familiar with operational procedures, software business applications, data systems and departmental information technology requirements to assist in developing continuity plans. Update policies and procedures in relation to assigned product and technology projects.
Technology/Equipment/Research: Ensures teams are equipped with the technology, equipment and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals of the credit union. Responsible for continuously moving the credit union to more efficient technologies. Ensure areas of responsibility have in place alternative disaster recovery plans in the event of system failure.
Budget Management: Create, monitor, allocate and reconcile annual department budget. Forecast any anticipated expenditures as needed.
Internal and External Partnerships/Vendor Management: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external partners and vendors; addressing, resolving or escalating, as needed. Participate in interdepartmental credit union meetings to provide support and assistance in resolving day-to-day challenges and be proactive in recommendations for improving efficiencies and partnerships.
Additional: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).
Other: Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related technical field. Experience can be credited in lieu of education.
Experience: Minimum of seven years’ experience in Business Applications management and IT Operations to include IT and human resources planning, assisting in scheduling major IT projects, corporate initiatives, leading a remote workforce. Three to five years leadership experience.

Compensation information: Offers are based on experience and education.
$112,361.60 - $140,462.40 annually
