Canidate will be required to do an in-person interview in Midland Texas and will be required to report to the office in Midland, Texas. We are not entertaining candidates that will require sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex datasets from sensors, drilling logs, seismic studies, and production systems.
- Develop predictive models for equipment reliability, production forecasting, and reservoir performance.
- Apply machine learning and statistical methods to optimize drilling and completions operations.
- Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, and business teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Build dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs, detect anomalies, and support decision-making.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity across multiple sources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R; SQL expertise for data manipulation.
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and optimization methods.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical insights with engineering and operations teams.
Nice-to-Have (Preferred):
- Knowledge of petroleum engineering concepts (reservoir modeling, drilling optimization, production systems).
- Experience with industry data platforms (e.g., OSIsoft PI System, Petrel, Schlumberger DELFI, Halliburton Landmark).
- Cloud platforms and big data tools (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Spark).
- Experience with real-time streaming data (IoT, SCADA systems).
