Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm (NOTE: There may be flexibility for a schedule of (4) 10-hr shifts from Tuesday-Friday, depending on preferences of final candidate.)
Highlights of the position:
- Provides high-quality service to our patients and clinics by demonstrating friendliness, helpfulness, and efficient and accurate processing of lab specimens.
- Receives, sorts, and processes specimens, and collaborates with various lab departments to ensure testing is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
- May help run quality control material, analyze specimens, and report results as needed.
- Responsible for tracking specimens, uploading into the state web portal and keeping up with results.
- Navigates EMR for order retrieval, scheduling, and preparation of billing forms.
- Performs clerical functions including data entry, phone service, filing, fax/copier services, and other support as needed.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Collaborates with lab and practice teams to improve the patient experience and lab processes.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous lab processing experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting or comparable field preferred.
- Prior phlebotomy training required, phlebotomy certification preferred.
