POSITION SUMMARY: The Communications and Marketing Specialist at The Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center is essential in leading effective communication and marketing initiatives across all five locations. This role focuses on creating and implementing strategies aimed at advancing communication, enhancing brand awareness and fostering greater engagement among employees and patients. By prioritizing these goals, the manager contributes to building a strong, connected community within the health center.
Report To: Vice President of Engagement & Strategic Initiatives
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage communications at all five JPAFHC locations (elevator snap frames; posters; flyers; e-blasts; digital screens; banners, etc.) Rounding and updating all sites.
- Manage the creative development and implementation of comprehensive JPAFHC employee targeted campaigns (health awareness events; on-site tabling; staff & patient testimonials, etc.)
- Create graphics for digital screens, monitor content and manage logistics around installations, repairs, and replacements of screens.
- Manage JPAFHC website. Communicate with Patient Point for edits and updates.
- Social media account management to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn; Eventbrite; You Tube including but not limited to content creation, graphic design, photography, video, and scheduling. Create Facebook Albums and events. Add all events on Eventbrite.
- Plan creative events to engage staff to optimize social media platforms. Create/Manage event schedule.
- Works closely with VP of operations on internal/external wayfinding signage. Assist with marketing and branding efforts, including table covers; tents, giveaway swag; retractable banners; brand kit; all internal and external signage; etc.
- Network and relationship development with internal & external stakeholders.
- Manage the creation of posters for communication, events and wayfinding as needed.
- Plan internal events around healthcare observances and special events.
- Create/Prepare marketing and promotional content: flyers; brochures; one-pagers; fact sheet, etc. advertisements.
- Coordinate employee meetings and communications for the marketing department.
- Research to identify recognitions through awards and marketing opportunities for the Health Center.
- Manage SharePoint for Brand Kit and Communications & Public Affairs Department.
- Monitor shared email addresses and respond to inquiries. Manage JPA News E-Blasts (events/updates).
- Collaborate with VP of Engagement & Strategic Initiatives to execute marketing campaigns for JPAFHC.
- Identify JPAFHC programs and services to highlight via press releases, advertorials, etc.
- Build reports and presentations for VP of Engagement & Strategic Initiatives as needed.
- Support the VP of Engagement & Strategic Initiatives with administrative tasks as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in brand management and marketing.
- Strong visual storytelling skills, including photography and curation of photography collections.
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Demonstrates the ability to give and receive both positive and constructive feedback. - Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to continually reassess priorities to focus on high-impact activities.
- Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor, capable of presenting to large groups and connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines efficiently. - Strong project management skills, with a proven track record in organizing, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
- Skilled in building and maintaining internal and external relationships. - A demonstrated team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with various levels of staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Preferred experience of 3-5 years within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Marketing plan development and research abilities.
- Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
- Experience designing and building marketing campaigns and content, including working with multiple marketing mediums, including digital, social, video, sound, and print.
- Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must be flexible, reliable, have personal integrity, and can function effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to build strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
