The Spark Security Coordinator is responsible for the security and wellbeing of the entire Spark location in Downtown Nashville. The Security Coordinator works with internal and external groups, provides excellent front facing customer service, manages scheduling to ensure all necessary functions are provided with security, and develops and maintains emergency action plans.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide security coverage of Spark Downtown location during operational hours or as needed.
- Maintain a positive, courteous demeanor, and practice good front-facing customer service with the clients, students, and staff utilizing the Spark Downtown space.
- Assist Director of Support Services with development of emergency action plans, coordinate internal training for Spark and Lipscomb staff, and develop necessary procedures for the safety and security of the facility.
- Coordinate essential security coverage of Spark Downtown facility by maintaining a timely schedule in accordance with standards set forth by the University.
- Coordinate with Director of Support Services and Director of Operations on utilizing patrol officers for coverage of Spark Downtown facility.
- Monitor cameras and perform routine patrols of facility within the jurisdictional bounds.
- Assist Director of Support Services or Director of Spark in other necessary functions as requested.
Education:
- High School graduate minimum, bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
- 2+ Year in Security and/or Military/Law Enforcement is preferred
Works independently and is self-sufficient. Frequently works with internal/external groups in a cooperative and collaborative manner. Practices discretion and confidentiality with student and Spark client information.
