Job Description:

Link Solutions is seeking an Active Directory Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ.

The Active Directory Systems Administrator will support the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) located on Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Administrator will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. You will work across many teams and high-level managers in the organization to design, lead, manage, maintain, track assets, deploy, implement, troubleshoot, and support the workforce environment. You will provide on-site support to ensure all network capabilities are available.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on Active Directory, Windows Server (2008–2019), Domain Controllers, user authentication, and other operating systems as needed.
  • Configure and maintain Active Directory forests and domains across a large-scale network supporting over 10,000 users and 20,000 AD objects.
  • Manage data backup and recovery operations, including monitoring and restoration procedures for Active Directory.
  • Conduct routine system tests and maintenance to ensure performance remains within defined capacity limits.
  • Document systems, processes, and procedures used for daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Develop and debug automation scripts using PowerShell and PowerCLI.
  • Collaborate with database administrators and IT teams to support the installation and maintenance of client-server applications for enterprise systems.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and integrity of the Active Directory environment.
  • Design and implement advanced monitoring strategies to assess and report on the health of Active Directory components.
  • Log and communicate problem symptoms and resolution status internally and externally, ensuring timely updates throughout the troubleshooting process.
  • Document new system components and updates to existing infrastructure.

  • Sunday-Wednesday 
  • 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM
Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or four (4+) years of relevant experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS).
  • Strong understanding of local and wide-area network operations, including network components and infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience or certification in Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and desktop support.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing and subnetting.
  • Current Computing Environment (CE) certification (required within 90 days of performance start date).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • IAT Level III certification DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs, and remote implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and associated methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, System Center, and Active Directory environments.
  • Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. 
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
